it is not necessary for a person to have any one strategy to be successful at trading or investing - a combination of all or many strategies can work -

A person who is skilled in the art of trading will always be able to see an advantage in any situation that they are faced with -

Information

very often when you are a shareholder of a company you will receive information about different business relationships and deals and transactions that are going on with that company and some of it's suppliers and/or competitors and from seeing the relationships develop over time you may notice a trend where the two or three or sometimes even more of these companies together may find it advantageous to take a greater step towards working together and perhaps form a merged company

this may happen because of changes in the industry or because of one company's business model complimenting or filling in the holes that exist in another company's business model -

Now before you jump to the conclusion that the markets are just about making money:



think about a producer of some food that needs as an ingredient for that food some of the livestock that the cattle rancher has on his acres of land -

we have begun -

well the first step has been accomplished and we have one follower here on the Wall Street Wonder and that is the journy of a thousand miles that has begun with the first step -

Now in the old days when many families worked on farms and big corporations had not been created yet - what was stock - stock was back then and in certain areas on certain farms - livestock which was the family cow - the whole group of cows that the farmers got up and milked or the herd of cows or horses that the rancher might tend to on acres and acres of land - so in general it was always good to at least start out with one head of cattle or stock to keep the family going -
